Terrorists Kill 4 Persons, Abduct 50 In Ruwan Doruwan Village, Northwest Nigeria
Both the Zamfara State Government, and the State Police Command are yet to issue statements over the attack.
Four persons were killed and 50 others abducted on Friday, Sept. 4 when terrorists attacked Ruwan Doruwa district in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria. The attack took place between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. WAT.
“The ‘bandits’ killed four persons and embarked on house to house search for abduction. We can only estimate that more than 50 were abducted. Though we are still counting to discover more,” Yusuf Abubakar Garba, a villager who escaped the attack, told HumAngle.
Garba, added that “among the victims of the attack was officer Jijjilo who had his immediate younger brother killed by the bandits, while his wife and that of his younger brother were abducted.”
Another eyewitness, Bashir Ruwan Doruwa disclosed that four members of his family were abducted.
“I was in my house sleeping with my family. All of a sudden, we heard heavy sounds of gunshots. The Terrorists forced my door open. We hid at different locations in the house, but these people kidnapped four members of my family.”
Bashir Ibrahim, told HumAngle that “Alhaji Hassan Abubakar Ruwan Doruwa has two of his younger brothers, Rayyanu and Basiru abducted by the terrorists.” The funeral prayer for the four dead persons was held at 10 a.m., on Friday.
