Christie Garba, a 38-year-old mother of seven from Billiri, Gombe, in Northeastern Nigeria, was originally residing in Yobe with her family when the Boko Haram crisis began affecting their region. Initially, their community wasn't directly impacted, but as the conflict worsened, military advisories and curfews made daily life untenable, prompting her relocation.

The discussed episode of #BirbishinRikici narrates Christie's transition to Gombe and her pursuit of a new livelihood through starting a business amid the tumultuous backdrop. This narrative was presented by Rukayya Saeed, written and voiced by Sabiqah Bello, with editorial input by Aliyu Dahiru, and production oversight by Mu’azu Muhammad and Anthony Asemota.
