Bandits’ Leader Cries Out, Warns Community Against Assisting Military
In an audio obtained by HumAngle, a notorious bandits’ leader, Kachallah, has threatened residents of Shinkafi not to allow soldiers in their midst.
His recent outburst followed the military’s intense operations to flush out criminals in the region.
“How will soldiers be killing my people in dialogue, how can they be going out looking for bandits?
“I swear to God that once they attack us again we will make sure we kill 40 hear, 50 there, 30 there, and one day they would want to attack us but mourning wouldn’t allow them.
“I swear to God that once you allow the military cross through Shinkafi, you won’t be able to feed displaced people,” he warned.
“I have given them three days, I swear that if they don’t stop, we were selecting communities before, but I swear we will kill 100 in Kurya, we will make sure we displace every community around.
“What they are saying is that we should give them arms and leave like that; is not possible? We would prefer to die.
“They seized over 30 arms from us, they seized over 60 of our motorcycles. Is this how you get the peace?
“We are waiting for them to come and collect the guns, I have not moved to anywhere, I am waiting for the soldiers,” Kachallah said.
He stressed that he would not spare any local government assisting the soldiers.
“This people will finish this operation and go back to Abuja. Government will continue to pay them and they will leave you with us here, don’t allow them pass through Shinkafi, they know the best routes to follow.
“Let me know that I am in war with Zurmi, but the moment you allow them pass through Shinkafi, I swear no village around Shinkafi will sleep in peace again, we will flood you with IDPs, we will keep you busy burying.
“We will not continue to watch over this injustice, killing our people
“I swear to God that I have ordered my men to kill everyone, we will ensure that there’s no farming, they’d have to run to Gusau.
“We will see how they will leave with Corona of hunger and corona of disease,” Kachallah said, and ordered his men to arm themselves properly and take cover.
He was protesting the most recent military assault on criminal elements in Zurmi area, wherein the military killed scores of bandits, including high profile commanders.
The military also seized arms and motorcycles from the criminals.
The bandits’ leader accused President Muhammadu Buhari of neglecting his Fulani ethnic group.
“Nigeria has no enemy like Muhammadu Buhari, since he got to power he has not assisted or helped a single Fulani,” he said.
