Terrorists On Reprisal Kill 12 In Zamfara Community

Gunmen, carrying Ak47, have killed 12 community members of Ungawar Yabo Community of Tsafe Local Government.

According to eyewitnesses, the killings have left the villagers traumatised as the terrorists stormed the community and began shooting sporadically.

The killings follow a recent attack where members of a vigilante group killed one Ardo Bala.

A source, who pleaded for anonymity said, “Ardo Bala visited the community to look for labourers to farm for him.

“He was asked to go and come back tomorrow; he left and was stopped by a vigilante group and he was killed.”

Residents told HumAngle that terrorists are using the incident as an excuse to exploit and maim people.

The State Police Command has confirmed the killings at Unguwar Yabo. They, however, said that only four people were killed and the injured have been taken to the hospital.
