Borno: Deputy Governor Visits Villages Attacked By Boko Haram
Borno State Deputy Governor, Hon. Umar Kadafur visited villages attacked by Boko Haram to condole with the residents.
The villages are Debiro,Tarfa and Dakwaima in Biu local Government, Southern Borno.
Kadafur sympathised with the people to take the incident as an act of Allah and continue to pray for lasting peace.
He stressed that vigilante groups and hunters in the area will be well equipped and provided with allowance to help them operate side by side with the security operatives for the defence of the area.
The District Head, Alh Mohammad Maina Bukar informed the Deputy Governor that the insurgents stormed the villages between 6:30 and 10:25 pm.
They burnt down 90 residential Houses, nine shops, one church, one dispensary and one tractor.
The insurgents also looted food items and killed one person during the attack.
The District Head also commended the Deputy Governor for his visit to commensurate with them.
