He leads the integration of geospatial intelligence, open-source investigations, and AI innovation into newsroom reporting and research. His work focuses on building tools, interactive maps, and data-driven insights that enhance investigative journalism and civic-focused storytelling across Africa. Mansir is a recipient of the Sigma Award for data journalism, has lectured at international conferences including iMEdD 2024, and instructed newsroom leaders in Africa on AI in journalism through the JournalismAI Sub-Saharan Africa Academy 2025.
