Terrorists Storm Kano Community, Kill 3 Persons, Abduct 2

Three persons were killed and two others abducted by gunmen who attacked a village in Rano Local Government Area of Kano State in Northwest Nigeria.

Terrorists Tuesday morning killed three persons and abducted two others at Rurum village in Rano Local Government Area of Kano State, Northwest Nigeria.

Sahelian Times reported that the terrorist arrived at the village at about 1:00 a.m. and started shooting sporadically, leading to the death of three persons.

During the attack, the terrorists also abducted the parents of one Alhaji Yusuf Jibrin, a businessman in the area. According to the report, they released his father after some hours and went away with his mother.

A resident confirmed that his brother died Wednesday evening while receiving treatment in a hospital due to a gunshot injury. He said some wounded victims, including an old man, are currently at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano, receiving treatments.

According to him, the security forces didn’t arrive at the village until after the terrorists finished their operation.

Confirming the incident, Abdullahi Kiyawa, police spokesperson in Kano said the terrorists abducted two people but they rescued one.

He added that efforts to rescue the other one were in progress.
