Terrorists Attack Zamfara Community In Night Raid, Kill 2

A resident says soldiers responded to distress calls early and dispersed the armed men.

Terrorists have killed two people in the Kaura Namoda local government area of Zamfara state in North West Nigeria

A resident, Hassan Sa’ad Kaura, told HumAngle that the terrorists came to the Hayin Bakuso area on Tuesday evening around 8:30 p.m.

He named the two persons who were killed by the armed men as Na’ima, a wife to one Alhaji Atiku Nafarisa, a popular butcher in the area while the other person was identified as Halifa Tsoho, a secondary school student.

“Halifa’s mother is still in the custody of the terrorists since they abducted her about four to five months ago,” he told HumAngle through a social messaging app.

According to him, after the terrorists started shooting sporadically, security operatives got a report, leading them to take action to disperse them.

“If not for the intervention of the soldiers, the damage they would have done would be more than this,” Kaura said.

Kaura Namoda which is at least 57 km away from Gusau, the state’s capital has witnessed a series of attacks by terrorists.
