IED Kills Seven Vigilante Members In Borno

At least seven vigilante members have reportedly died Wednesday morning, after stepping on an improvised explosive device   (IED) with their car suspected to have been planted by Boko Haram Insurgents.

The incident happened in Kawuri village of Konduga Local Government Area which is about 37 kilometers southeast of Maiduguri, Borno State capital, Northeast Nigeria.

HumAngle gathered that the vigilante members were on a ride for their daily operation when the incident occurred.

An eyewitness said their bodies  were taken to Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.


Borno State has been the epicenter of the decade-long insurgency in Nigeria.
