The Walese Vonkutu in the south of Irumu territory is a death triangle because the zone records the largest number of ADF attacks and deaths.
At least one person was killed and two others were wounded on Wednesday, Nov. 10, in an attack by Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels on Ndalya village in the chiefdom of Walese Vonkutu, to the south of Irumu territory in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The rebels also burnt down several houses.
“These rebels killed one person and wounded two others. A vehicle carrying foodstuff, three motorcycles, and all business places in the village were burnt by the rebels,” Dieudonne Malangai, president of the civil society revealed.
The attack disrupted vehicular movement along the national road number four.
The Walese Vonkutu in the south of Irumu territory is a death triangle because the zone records the largest number of ADF attacks and deaths since the rebel group began operating in the Ituri province.
