Abducted Kano Businessman Regains Freedom

Abdullahi Bello Kalos, a businessman who was abducted by unknown gunmen four days ago has regained his freedom.

Kalos who resides in Minjibir Local Government Area of Kano State, Northwest Nigeria was abducted from his house by gunmen Wednesday at about 2 am.

Relatives confirmed to HumAngle that  Bello returned home at about 4 am  Saturday morning from a village in Babura Local Government Area of Jigawa State where he was held captive by his abductors.

According to a family source, the kidnappers called on Friday morning requesting for N15 million ransom.

It was not clear how much was paid as ransom for Bello to regain his freedom.

DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, Police Public Relations Officer in Kano Command said a police operation led to the safe rescue of the victim on Saturday morning.

But another family source who did not want to be named said  the police were not part of the rescue.
