Kaduna: 2 Officers Killed After Terror Attack On Nigerian Defence Academy Facility
The attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy led to the death of several officers and abduction of people.
A terror group, Tuesday morning, Aug. 24, carried out an audacious attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in the Northwestern State of Kaduna, leading to the killing of officers and abduction of an unknown number of people.
HumAngle learnt that the group breached the perimeter security of Nigeria’s military academy for training cadets of the tri-services and proceeded to the officers quarters shooting sporadically.
Sources told HumAngle that two military officers were killed during the incident, one officer is missing while another is stable and receiving medical attention.
HumAngle understands that the military is conducting an operation in pursuit of the assailants.
The situation is still fluid and being monitored.
The Academy sits on a large expanse and is located about 10 km from the Kaduna Airport, 7Km from Rigasa train station, 8 Km from the Air Force base, and 29 Km from another major base in Jaji.
Kaduna State has been at the centre of the violence and insecurity ravaging the Northwest and parts of North-central.
