Are you a seasoned journalist passionate about uncovering the stories that shape Africa's
conflict and humanitarian landscape? HumAngle is seeking an experienced and visionary
Editor-in-Chief to lead our newsroom and drive our mission of delivering impactful,
insightful, and nuanced journalism.
Key Responsibilities
Provide editorial leadership and oversee the newsroom's operations.
Shape the editorial vision and strategy, ensuring high-quality reporting and storytelling.
Guide the coverage of Africa's conflict, security, and humanitarian issues with depth and
accuracy.
Manage a team of journalists, editors, and contributors to produce compelling and impactful
content.
Uphold ethical journalism standards and promote innovative reporting approaches.
Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of newsroom experience, with a proven track record of reporting on
Africa's conflict and humanitarian issues.
In-depth knowledge of the socio-political dynamics in Africa and a strong network within the
media industry.
Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
Experience leading diverse teams and managing editorial workflows.
Being a non-Nigerian African is considered an added advantage.
