Call for Specialist Editor
HumAngle is seeking a Specialist Editor with exceptional writing and editing skills to join our editorial team. This role requires someone who can seamlessly combine writing and editing responsibilities, contributing meaningfully to our distinctive voice and mission.
The position is open to candidates based anywhere in Africa. Applicants based in Southern Nigeria are encouraged to apply, while remote work is possible for others across the continent.
About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about storytelling, deeply familiar with or eager to engage with HumAngleās editorial niche, and confident in their ability to adapt to and enhance our style.
Ideal Candidate:
- A strong female candidate is highly encouraged to apply. We are intentional about inclusion and representation.
- Must have a demonstrable track record of excellence in writing and editing, with work that meets global standards.
- Whether you are a recent graduate, self-taught, or have decades of experience, what matters most is your proven ability to produce outstanding, original work.
- You must be able to write and edit without the assistance of AI tools. Authenticity is non-negotiable.
- An understanding of or interest in HumAngleās editorial focus is essential.

- A competitive salary package, despite the economic acrobatics of the Naira. The specific monthly pay for this role can range from ā¦800,000 to ā¦1,000,000, depending on the candidateās skills, expertise, and qualifications.
