#EndSARS: Bullets Shot At Lekki Toll Gate From Nigerian Army – Forensics
Forensic evidence contradicts claims by the Nigerian Army that only blank bullets were fired at the Lekki Tollgate on October 20.

A forensics company, Sentinel Forensic Limited has confirmed that bullets fired from firearms during the #EndSARS protests in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria on Oct. 20, 2020, were from the Nigerian Army.
During a sitting of the panel on Friday, Sept. 10, Joseph Kayode Funsho, the company’s representative, said the live ammunition (bullets) were found to have been registered to the Nigerian Army despite denials by the Nigerian Army.
According to Channels Television report , Funsho noted that the blanks didn’t match the records from the Nigerian Army’s inventory.
In Nov. 2020, Ahmed Taiwo, Commander of the 81 Military Intelligence Brigade, in an appearance before the Judicial Panel insisted that only blank bullets containing gunpowder were fired at the Lekki Tollgate on Oct. 20.
He also emphasised that the Nigerian military did not shoot directly at the #EndSARS protesters but only fired into the air.
Taiwo had said if real bullets were indeed fired, one bullet had the potency to kill three persons and that the blank bullets used, cannot cause any damage to the flesh.
The case was however adjourned thereafter to Saturday, Sept. 11, for further hearing.
