Call For Reporters

  • Full Time
  • Anywhere

HumAngle is calling on exceptional storytellers and journalists who are efficient and creative to join our team. We are looking for experienced and ambitious reporters who want to achieve a high standard of work and are eager to contribute to the development of our media team.

If you have a commitment to excellence and a high sense of responsibility, we would like to hear from you.

You should be a self-starter with loads of story ideas and enthusiasm. You should be able to produce different kinds of content working on your own, but you can also count on support from the team if editorial setbacks arise. We are looking for someone who embodies the definition of “proactive” and does not need constant reminders to take on tasks.

We assume you have taken the time to go through our website, YouTube, and social media channels to familiarise yourself with who we are and what we do.

The interview process will be unconventional. It will happen over lunch at a restaurant in Abuja with two members of our management team.

We operate a hybrid work culture where remote working is possible, but you should ideally be based in Abuja.

  1. You need to be an excellent writer and have clips to prove it.
  2. You should have experience working in a newsroom.
  3. Did we mention you need to be an excellent writer?
  4. You must be efficient, creative, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  5. You should ideally be based in Abuja.
  6. You should be willing to travel for assignments.
  7. Video and sound editing skills would be an added advantage.

Your responsibilities will mainly be to write news, features, analyses, and investigations. You will also be made familiar with our podcasts and should be willing to collect audiovisual material for multimedia productions.
